so I have Taoren, the Soul Burner. and now I’m wondering- what’s are people’s thoughts on using valor points to upgrade items? is it worth it? or are the points better spend buying other upgrades? or are we getting “better” stuff in the next patch anyway so I should save my points? any ideas? Spend Points on Make Gun Extra Shiny or NO?
I read that in patch 5.0, ranged weapon slots are going away. Relics are being taken out entirely. Guns will equip in hunters weapon slot. Casters can put wands in their weapon slot.
But… Does this mean hunters no longer have a Stat-Stick? No melee weapon at all?
I’ve been trying week after week to get the LFR-Madness staff (kiril) that will make me BIG BIG. But I really don’t want to do LFR today and finally win it if I won’t be able to equip it come next Tuesday. I wanted it for screenshots and stuff.
Any clarification on how this weapon change is working in beta? Should I give up on this hunter stick?
It’s called “HunterFocusBar” and is available on Curse. It’s a tiny tiny little add-on- just a focus bar that you can scale/move anywhere. It’ll also put up little symbols to track a couple hunter buffs. and that’s it. :)
Playing around with a Green Transmog. I just bought a few cheap things off the AH. I like the pants. Need to find some green boots.

Just turned 85 and I’m researching what to spend my first set of Justice Points on. My hit is too low and trinkets never drop so I’m thinking I’ll start with Fluid Death trinket. Sticking this link here on my tumblr so I don’t lose it.

I just logged into a “really old” hunter. I opened his bags and found AMMO. Both bullets and arrows. Along with MANA POTIONS and water. I feel all sad and nostalgic for the Burning Crusade.

So since I’m playing Gretadelle again, I’m doing some research. If you haven’t seen noxxic pages yet, check them out. They really simplify all the need-to-know info. Much easier then reading the long threads on the forums.
For now I’m trying Gretadelle as a Marks Hunter. The first picture is of the shot rotation. I tend to be the sort of person who thinks I need to use ALL THE BUTTONS. It always surprises me to read rotations like this, that only use a small portion of the buttons. But simple is good, so I’ll be trying this out for sure. (Do they really leave out Kill Command completely? That’s such a fun button to push…)
The second picture is comparing their recommended stat priorities with my current gear. I won’t bother reforging stuff since I’ll be replacing everything anyway… but good to know I’m hit capped at least.
My gear is mostly stuff I picked up today. I was at 224 and bought some stuff off the AH to get to 226. Then I queued for a bunch of low Cata dungeons with my guildies (who are Awesome, SO AWESOME). I got a TON of good drops. Like seriously lucky with the hunter loots. So ilvl shot up to 277. Yay!
And a screenshot! My newest layout of buttons & addons. I like “Eavesdrop” quite a bit. I’m understanding much much more about the combat then I ever did with the flashing-numbers-everywhere-system.
I think I may be falling in love with this game again. I guess I just needed to revive my little Gretadelle…
