*world of warcraft blog*
On Earth, I am a 31 year old woman living in North Carolina with my two spouses and three cats. I like SARK books, fingerpaint, sushi, documentaries, and tower defense games.
In Azeroth, I play on Bronzebeard-US-PvE. (alliance)
My main is Gretadelle the red headed dwarf survival hunter. She travels with a turtle named Belly and a cat called Juniper. She's a skinner and a leatherworker and she loves to make gear for friends! She's usually the first one to see anything new. She spends much of her week in LFR hoping for gear upgrades and collecting sigils for that damn prince. She's also lead on dailies/reputation grinding. Her awesome hunter ways make it pretty easy to take down Rares and Warscouts.
My main alts are:
Juniebee the fire mage. She's in our little family guild. She spends most of her time enchanting gear for pals, organizing the family bank and using her mage portals for winning at fast-travel-pet-battles. Her ilvl is low and she gets very little "real" playtime these days.
Elizaveta the healing tree druid. She hates to garden or do dailies or anything that requires her to *try* to dps. She spends all of her time healing heroics and LFRs. Sometimes I just need a night full of sparkly swiftmend.
This tumblr is 99% original content. It's almost entirely about game play. I post screenshots of killing rares, finding lost and found treasures, getting achievements and that sort of thing. I talk about talent points and healing struggles and interesting wow-articles I've read.

I've been getting alot of Asks from women who are interested in joining our (admittedly awesome) guild: Daughters ofThe Alliance. Yay!!!! So please click the link below to go to our guild website & see what we're about and how to join!
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Juniebee (level 90 worgen fire mage) and her Pandaren Fire Spirit on a “pet leash.” I have to admit, the black/lace look with a servant on a leash is kinda awesome.
Elizaveta growing golden lotus on her farm. i kinda love how BIG they are.

this is supposed to be a happy moment, but really i am sad. finding dark soil in my swift bird form was so soothing and perfect in every way. now even Sho loves Elizaveta so much that she can’t accept a single muddy gift.

*sigh*
now what?

Nat will just NEVER love me….

Elizaveta and Dos-Ryga. He’s the first beast and my Beasts of Fable questline. These battles are different because we are battling just one pet with lots of health.
as always, I went to wowhead and read the comments page for strategies and pet choices. this is the strategy I went with:

If you have an Effervescent Glowfly, this is absolutely the pet to use here. It has one ability that deals 6% of the target’s max health every round for four rounds, and another which gives the opponent a chance to injure themselves. Keep those “dots” up and you’ll soon shave some health off him.
I coupled this with the Harbinger of Flame which has the Impale ability - instant kill if the opponent is below 25%. So get the health down using Glowfly and one other pet, then finish off using Impale. Be careful, it heals itself so you don’t want to use Impale until after it has put its heal on cooldown and you know for sure it’s gonna be on sub 25% when Impale hits.

Effervescent Glowfly (with the 6% per round dot), Harbringer of Flame (with Impale that kills at <25%) and I didn’t have any of the other recommended pets so I went with Pandaren Air Spirit because of it’s flying attack and heal over time.
I opened with my air spirit, put up both of my air/cyclone/over time attacks, used the heal over time- swapped in glowfly, put up both dots, attacked awhile, refreshed dots, died. switched back to air spirit, more heal over time, more cyclone over time. died. Bring in the Harbringer, hit IMPALE- win!
(next time I’ll try it with some <25 pets. the wowhead comments seem to say that you don’t get *any* pet xp for this battle? want to test that out.)
So my family has a horde trio going. Mike is playing a boomkin. Belle is a hunter. And I’m a Healy disc priest for fast queues. We got to 20 today. I’m kinda not that excited though. With a random tank, I spend the whole time chasing them through Wailing Caverns. No communication. No time to loot, skin, or get quest items. I end up feeling all rushed and resentful. Belle says our friend Eliina might monk-tank for us soon. That will be soooo much better. Oh. And what’s with not getting Atonement (dps=heal) till 38? That’s like the whole point of this spec.
SARK & me. 1998 I think?
Me & my two best buds road tripped from Maine to a little bookstore in Rhode Island to meet her and hear her speak/read. As I said in a recent email- she is just as amazing in person as she is in her books. Her energy is beautiful and made me feel comfortable in a cozy cup of tea kind of way. She’s the cat’s purple pajamas!
[hoping this works… it’s my first time posting from photobucket. apologies for poor quality. this is a copy of a digital photo of a real developed film photo from back in the olden days]

so back in the real world, the husband and I had our wedding anniversary. and when I logged in today, I found a sweet note and a 25k gold gift in my mailbox! *hearts*
my first two purchases:

level 25 Rare/blue fungal abomination pet. purchased for 2500 gold on the AH. undead pet. He has some of the same mushroom-over-time-moves that my sporeling sprout has- but with the addition of slot 1 “damage to you also heals me” abilities. sweet!

level 25 rare/blue jade owl. purchased for 5000 gold on the AH. magic pet with *no* magic abilities.(most of his abilities are flying) So far I haven’t been too impressed with him at all- BUT a comment on warcraftpets.com has me thinking about new ways to use him.
“I used a flawless magic stone on this little guy and have yet to be dissappointed. His type has natural immunities to Aquatic types yet he is one of the only Magic pets I have found that have not one but several strong Flying type abilities which do +Dmg to Aquatics.
Now I use him as my go to for any team with an Aquatic in it. Having one so strong usually allows me to power lvl a truly noobish pet within my team.”-Zyden
Belle, you were so very very right about the Rapana Whelk! It’s like… unstoppable. The first slot move “Absorb” heals me for 100% of the dmg it does. So yeah, it may take me a looong time to kill it, but I’m GONNA kill it, ya know?
my best friend flew in to see me last week and it was so so so so so nice to be in the same space with her. it had been over a year! so we soaked each other up as much as we possibly could in those four days. which means- of course- no warcraft! so yeah. she left last night and I’ve been playing wow alllll day today.
I started at 9am with pet battles.

Once I got a group of 15+ level 25 pets, I decided to finally knuckle down and beat those pesky Pandaria trainers.

and…. they were way easier than I expected! Well, that one guy in Kun Lai required me to wowhead cuse he was in a cave and I couldn’t find him. But the battles themselves weren’t too hard. I was able to use some level 23 and 24 pets to soak up big experience points.

and after I beat the last of the Pandaria trainers, she mailed me a letter:

^^ 3000 gold! I don’t remember EVER being given a reward like that from anything in this game. (anyone know of other quest chains/events that give a ton of gold?)
now onto beating the Spirit Tamers, I think?
Zazrae, level 17 disc priest, earning +600 Sunreaver Onslaught (Pandaria-faction) rep for running Wailing Caverns.
step 1:I did the dailies on the island & got some tattered historical parchments. (I have had *really* good luck getting tons of parchments from the treasure-finding-purple-key-scenario.)
Step 2: talk to the Kirin Tor quarter master to purchase Bind-on-Account rep tokens for 25 rep each.
step 3: Mailed them to Zazrae (level 17 troll). The tokens automatically switch to the horde-only rep “Sunreaver Onslaught.”
step 4: login to Zazrae, go to the Reputation screen, click the STAR next to Sunreaver Onslaught. Queue for dungeon. WIN.
Bonus: I also previously purchased the Grand Commendation of the Kirin Tor that gives the up-arrow rep bonus. This commendation also transfers automatically to Sunreaver Onslaught.
All this = easily Revered with them before I get to 90!
I was afraid to queue for dungeons as healer with hardly any gear at all, so I mailed over the heirlooms my warlock has been wearing. what a HUGE difference that makes in stats. WOW!

^ starting gear

^ lots of heirlooms
Zazrae the newly rolled troll priest has killed her first rare!

and when she turned level 10, she choose Disc for her spec. I know it’s kinda silly to be questing as Disc, but I really plan on heal heal healing. and smite isn’t working too bad at this point anyway.

^^ level logger addon, cuse stats are interesting.

ding 16! during her first dungeon run! wheeee!
I use an add-on called “multishot” which takes automatic screenshots when I ding, defeat a rare, kill a boss for the firs time or get an achievement. I love love love this add-on.
so, I bring you- Zazrae the baby troll priest:

Party: Zazrae-priest (me), Aloeferox-hunter (belle), Graylee-druid (Mike)
i’m worried about how long this post will look on phones, going to try to stick a cut in, i hope it works.
My friend just came back to Warcraft after a long break. While chatting, I realized she didn’t know about the reputation changes! So- a quick post for anyone new/returning.
5 super useful things to know about Reputation with Factions in Pandaria
#1: once you get REVERED reputation, go to the quartermaster, pay about 50 gold & get a commendation. Once you click on it, you’ll have an “up arrow” next to that faction on your reputation screen. You are now earning double rep which helps you get to Exalted faster. More importantly, the bonus is for your WHOLE ACCOUNT. So all of your alts will earn rep double fast. Which makes it waaaay easier to get your alts enough rep to buy the VP gear.
Coming up… Four more very important things to know about Pandaria Reputations. Stay tuned. Ezraye.tumblr.com
I play on Bronzebeard-US, alliance side. but I’ve got a couple of good pals hordeside. So I finally chose a few forgotten toons to delete. (because 11 slots per server is NOT ENOUGH AT ALL.)
good bye to Zazrae the night elf hunter. you had really cool hair. but we never quite bonded. so i have stripped out of all your possessions, sold them off, sent the money to toons I like better than you and now I’m hitting the big DELETE:

welcome to the world, Zazrae the troll priest. I hope you hold my interest better than your precessor. BWA HA HA

oh, so horde friends, hi!
