I'm a Pokemon newb. I'm not really ready to trade and battle yet, as I only have caterpies and such.
Also playing: Mario & Luigi Dream Team (2DS)
Usually playing (but not lately): World of Warcraft (dwarf hunter)
my personal tumblr is over here: http://therealezraye.tumblr.com/
So I’ve been completely ignoring Mott and Kyle.
I read guides. Ignoring is supposed to make them move away.
No. Such. Luck.
Mint asked to move?!? I talk to her every day!
And just now my dear favorite Annalise asked to move. I’ve been filling up her house with pave matching set. She’s wearing an ugly town shirt designed by my wife. We fucking sing together and talk about our friend Mayor Munch. I give her perfect fruits and visit her home.
And she wants to move.
What the fuck, nintendo?
My heart can’t handle this shit.
Everyone knows what it’s like to put a pretty decent pokemon into wondertrade and get a fletchling or something back for it.
So tell me, what pokemon do you think people need to NOT put in (or put back in) the Wonder Trade?
I am new to Pokemon series and just started playing Y a few days ago. My highest guys are 20-30.
So I was Really Surprised when the game prompted me to try out Wonder Trade. I literally only have pokemon that are catchable in the wild on the first few routes of the game. But yes, the game asked me a couple times to wonder trade and explained the pokemiles benefits right off.
Long story short: maybe the people putting those in are newbs like me with no other options. Perhaps Wonder Trade should be divided by how many hours or badges a trainer has. That way newer players could still trade without aggravating the serious breeders.
I recently had to reformat my 2DS. I have a new friend code & need to re-add folks.
If you want to be friends, send me an ASK with your info (friend code, DS display name, mayor, town, any important rules). Be Patient! It’ll take me a few days to respond.
My Friend Code: 1693-2502-9887
Basic rules for visiting Buxton:
— yes, you can shop! I have Gracie’s shop. And I don’t buy the Nintendo fortunes very often so you are welcome to buy those too.
— yes, you can look around my house! It’s kind of a mess right now as I’m changing the themes of some rooms.
— my right wing is worth peeking into
— yes, talk to my neighbors! They love visitors. Go in their houses too, if you want.
— yes, you can pick some fruit. Are you missing some fruits in your new town? Want a few perfect cherries? Go ahead and grab them.
— there are flowers everywhere. It’s pretty hard to walk around Buxton without trampling something. So don’t rush.
** if you see my gates open, come on over. I don’t post about it first on tumblr. You are welcome!
Basic Rules for hanging out with Mayor Ezraye:
— I’m slow at typing on the 2DS. Be patient with me. I often communicate just using the emote joke book.
— I’m 32. Fat, queer, poly, chronically ill. So no hate, no hateful language. My triad is about to have a baby boy! I’m in the process of becoming a mommy and changing my life.
— it takes me a few days to answer tumblr correspondence. I primarily access tumblr from my phone.
— I do not read my dashboard consistently. I follow/unfollow based on content and my mood. It’s never about you, so don’t take it personally.
Oh, and Pokemon Y, too
— I just started playing pokemon and I’m new to the series. So I don’t have many pokemon yet. My highest guys are around level 20-30. I’m not ready to battle and trade. (Unless you are new too?)
— I don’t totally understand how “being friends” works in this game. I just discovered O-powers and I’m not quite sure how I would know when to give someone a power. There doesn’t seem to be text chat between friends during gameplay.
— so, uh, if you want to be pokemon friends, please send me an ASK with your friend code, DS display name, trainer name. And some info about what you are interested in doing or how poke pals work. I read about something called Friend Safari?
Oh that’s pretty easy, and leads us to…
(yeah here we go agaaaain)
Note: I’m not a total expert on this, you may take them as an advice.
The faces minigame, helps growing the friendship in pokemon amie, same as feeding your pokemon and petting it. But since it’s not the only method, you can raise your pokemon’s friendship without it.
Triggering the faces minigame is easy, all you gotta do is align the console so it recognises your face, you gotta keep the same distance and position as if you were playing the game with the 3D feature on.
(note: you gotta be playing in any enviroment with enough light)
if you’re having trouble, just set the console on a table and align your head, can’t be hard.
Once the yellow icon shows in the lower left corner, you can stay still or smile, after a short while the minigame will start, you’ll know this because your pokemon will pop up smiley faces, kinda like this (I couldn’t take a pic)
Have fun! just… don’t over do it xD
Tip: You can make faces to your pokemon even when the faces minigame is not happening, tilt your head sideways or smile and your pokemon will mimic you.
I also heard the game recognises child’s faces easier, if you got a little siblings or family it may work better with them… but what’s the fun of it if you’re not the one looking dumb in front of a 3Ds?
